From the Sheen Falls Lodge website:
The hotel is located at the edge of both the world famous Ring of Kerry and the lesser known Ring of Beara. The Ring of Kerry is renowned for its stunning scenery and lush green and blue landscapes and skies. The drive to the seaside town of Waterville and on to Cahirciveen and Killorglin and back by the winding road alongside the Lakes of Killarney to Moll's Gap is truly a glorious trip, which must be experienced to be believed.

The teachers: New York Times Best Selling Authors

These two celebrated authors have taught together before and we are in deed privaledged to have them for the "Write at the Edge" seminar in Ireland. Please check out their websites, click on their names, to find out more about them than we could ever place here.

James Rollins - is a celebrated author of thrillers. James is also known as James Clemens, the equally trilling writer of fantasy.

From James' website:
James Clemens was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1961. With his three brothers and three sisters, he was raised in the Midwest and rural Canada. There, he explored cornfields, tadpoles, and frozen ponds, dreaming of worlds and adventures beyond the next bend in the creek.

Eventually, forced to grow up, he went to school at the University of Missouri, where he graduated with a doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1985.

During one especially icy Midwestern winter, the lure of ocean, sun, and new horizons eventually drew him to the West Coast where he established his veterinary practice in Sacramento, California. Presently, he shares his home with a Golden Retriever named Penny and a Miniature Dachshund named Paiwakit. He has been a spinner of tales since his childhood; Wit'ch Fire was his first novel, translated into a dozen languages worldwide. Shadowfall is his latest novel, introducing a new world, new magik, new adventure.

Steve Berry - is our second teacher and an author of unprecendented thrillers.

From Steve's website:
Steve has been writing since 1990, and though his undergraduate degree was in political science, and he's trained as a lawyer, it was Steve's interest in history that led to him writing international suspense thrillers. They were the kind of books he liked to read, so naturally they became the kind of book Steve liked to write. Steve doesn't adhere to the adage, "write what you know." Instead, he says, "write what you love."

He also credits the nuns who taught him in Catholic school with instilling the discipline needed to both craft a novel and find a publisher. It took Steve 12 years — 85 rejections over five different manuscripts — before Ballantine Books finally bought a manuscript. Like he says, "I'm the poster child for it can be done."
